The amazing Allemansrätten

(Freedom to roam)

Thanks to “Allemansrätten” (the right of public access) everyone can roam freely in the Swedish countryside. However, there are certain things you must bear in mind when you are out hiking, camping, climbing, picking flowers or anything else in the forest and countryside. “Allemansrätten” gives us all access to the countryside. Therefore it is our shared responsibility to safeguard this ancient practice, not least by showing consideration when enjoying the countryside. Remember not to disturb the landowner or to damage the nature you are staying in.
